Two of Boston’s most iconic food purveyors are teaming up to launch a brand new concept in the Seaport District.
Wulf’s Fish, a seafood wholesaler founded nearly a century ago in Brookline, acquired Savenor’s Butchery in the summer of 2024. Now, the two legacy brands—united under one umbrella—are preparing to launch Boston Provisions. The collaborative concept will be situated at 1 Boston Wharf Rd, Suite G, accessible from the Harbor Way pedestrian walkway.
Though still in its early planning stages, Boston Provisions will feature both a full-service butchery counter and a full-service seafood counter. “So you’re getting the meat from Savenor’s Butchery and the seafood from Wulf’s Fish,” said Alisha Lumea, VP of Marketing and Brand Strategy at Wulf’s Fish, in a conversation with What Now Boston.
At the meat counter, patrons can expect everything from prime and wagyu beef to heritage Berkshire pork, premium lamb, chicken, duck, game meats, and specialty steaks.
The seafood counter will highlight a seasonal, globally sourced selection, including top-tier domestically-caught tuna, swordfish, dayboat scallops, black sea bass, striped bass, and premium salmon, plus a wide array of oysters, caviars, and more.
Additionally, a curated lineup of grab-and-go, ready-to-eat favorites—like fresh sandwiches and sushi—will be available for takeout or casual al fresco dining at outdoor tables.
As with Wulf’s and Savenor’s, sustainability will remain central to Boston Provision’s mission. The team is committed to traceable sourcing, minimizing waste, and supporting local and domestic producers wherever possible.
While plans are still unfolding, Boston Provisions is targeting a fall 2025 debut. To stay up-to-date on the shop’s progress, be sure to follow Wulf’s Fish on Instagram.
