Following a recent Boston Licensing Board hearing, it has been revealed that the vacant space at 16 Birch St in Roslindale Square, formerly occupied by Solera Wine, will soon be home to a charming gourmet food store called Russ & Mimi’s. Owner Kelly Walsh has successfully secured a packie license, marking an exciting new chapter for the neighborhood.

According to a post within the Roslindale Business Group Facebook page, the upcoming establishment will be a hub for fine fare, offering an array of prepared foods, coffee, grab-and-go items, and a carefully curated selection of beer and wine. Walsh brings a wealth of experience to the venture, having owned and operated various eateries across the area. Notably, she managed two restaurants, Sweet Cheeks Q in the Fenway and the now-closed Tiger Mama, alongside Chef Tiffani Faison, her ex-wife.

Universal Hub reports that Walsh, in addition to her culinary endeavors, has made significant contributions to the local business community through her consulting firm. Tyler Henseler, Walsh’s attorney, highlighted her role in supporting “many small-business owners” in Roslindale Square.

While the exact opening date remains unknown, the anticipation is building for the arrival of Russ & Mimi’s, a promising addition to the culinary landscape of Roslindale Square. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
