A Starbucks cafe is expected to go in on the ground floor of One Independence Center at 101 N Tryon St.

The addition of this new spot follows a Starbucks that opened earlier this year at nearby 1901 N. Tryon St.

The Starbucks cafe is expected to open at the tail end of the major revamp that One Independence Center has gone through over the past year. It has involved building up its Monarch Market, the ground-floor food court in the mixed-use building, which opened last November.

Monarch Market is already home to Barley & Burger, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, Curry Gate, Dock Local, Focaccina, Just Chicken, Kabab2Go, Rolled AF, Seoul Good and Sushi Art.

Most recently, it added Pasta Crush on Aug. 9. Still to come include the Starbucks cafe, Portofino’s and Sweetgreen. It is expected that the revamp on these locations will wrap up this year.
