Centrum Realty & Development and Sorelle Capital have a new hotel project on the way to Dilworth. The companies are currently aiming to rezone a 1.14-acre lot at Cleveland and East Worthington Avenues to transform it into a 130-room boutique hotel that will also feature a restaurant and bar, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
The project is still in the early stages of development and details regarding the project remain scarce. Larry Powers, managing partner for Centrum Realty & Development, declined to provide further comment to What Now Charlotte regarding the project at this time.
Centrum Realty & Development, based in Chicago, has multiple hotels in its portfolio, including hotels in Chicago and one in Florida. It has multiple new projects in the works in Charlotte, including developments in South End, Elizabeth and a wider development in Dilworth. It also has several projects underway in Nashville, including a hotel and a couple residences. Other developments from Centrum are heading to Chicago and Alabama.
Sorelle Capital is based in Las Vegas and acts as an investment firm in the hospitality and real estate markets.
As of now, a target opening timeline for the Dilworth hotel has not been announced.
