The Chick-fil-A, at 3821 Corning Place, is slated for significant renovations, according to a permit recently filed with the City of Charlotte.

The planned modifications include updates to the drive-thru, parking lot, and adjacent property driveway. Additionally, the existing Order Menu Display (OMD) canopy will be replaced with a dual OMD canopy, enhancing the restaurant’s capacity and efficiency.

The franchisee, DuPre Bingham, who also owns the Chick-fil-A location at Northlake Parkway, was not immediately available for comment on Sunday regarding the upcoming changes at the Mountain Island location.

This renovation is part of Chick-fil-A’s ongoing efforts to improve customer experience and streamline operations at its busy locations. The dual OMD canopy is expected to help manage higher volumes of drive-thru traffic, which has become increasingly important for fast-food restaurants.

Further details about the renovation timeline and the expected duration of the project have not yet been disclosed. Customers can anticipate enhanced service and a more efficient drive-thru experience once the renovations are completed.
