Chicken Salad Chick to Open its Newest Store in Cornelius
Chicken Salad Chick is bringing its 21st North Carolina location to Cornelius. The new location will open at 8301 Magnolia Estates Drive in the Magnolia Plaza shopping center. The new location will offer the community its signature Southern-style chicken salads and sides.
Founded in 2009 in Auburn, Alabama, Chicken Salad Chick has grown exponentially since then. With more than 325 restaurants in 22 states, it continues to expand its footprint. As it strengthens its position in several communities, it has also received numerous accolades.
The brand has earned recognition in the 2023 Entrepreneur Franchise 500 and Fast Casual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers. The brand has also been named one of the South’s Best Chains by Southern Living.
Now, it is expanding its reach in the Charlotte metro area with this location, marking its sixth store in the area. The opening of the restaurant will be celebrated with week-long giveaways and more. The location will be operated by Sing Bev Hospitality, which owns and manages 20 of the brand’s restaurants across North and South Carolina.
Opening Week Celebrations and Giveaways
Chicken Salad Chick will open its Cornelius location on March 10, 2026. To celebrate the opening, the first 100 guests in line will win free chicken salad for a year.
The first guest in line will receive one free large Quick Chick each week for a year. The other 99 guests will receive one free large Quick Chick per month for a year. Other giveaways throughout opening week include:
- March 11: A free Chick tote bag to the first 50 guests who purchase an entrée with two sides.
- March 12: A free entrée with one side or a small Quick Chick for the next visit to the first 50 guests who purchase an entrée with a side.
- March 13: One free large Quick Chick to the first 50 guests who purchase two large Quick Chicks.
- March 14: A free commemorative Chicken Salad Chick cup with a beverage to the first 50 guests who purchase an entrée with two sides.
The franchise group and the brand prioritize community involvement. In line with this, the restaurant will raise money for the American Cancer Society of North Carolina during its pre-opening events.
