Clutch Coffee Bar, known for its convenient drive-thru locations, has another location in the works this year. The brand is targeting Indian Land for a new location and plans to open up at 9424 Charlotte Highway sometime in 2025, according to the website.
Clutch has been in a period of expansion since founders Darren Spicer, John Anderson and Jake Vandermeer started in Mooresville in 2018. The brand now has fifteen open locations, including two spots in Mooresville, two in Winston-Salem and spots in Greensboro, Clemmons, Fayetteville and Monroe. A spot opened up in Indian Trail last year, as previously reported by What Now Charlotte. Clutch is also growing in other areas of South Carolina, with spots currently open in Rock Hill, Boiler Springs, Columbia and Greenville.
Spicer, Anderson and Vandermeer set out to serve quality coffees, energy drinks, refreshers, smoothies, shakes and other specialty beverages in a to-go format. The menu features items like the Base Jumper Mocha (caramel and chocolate), Electric Stardust (an energy drink with peach, strawberry and white chocolate) and the Dream Bar Mocha (caramel, hazelnut and dark chocolate).
“With 20+ years of drive-thru coffee experience, combined with a burning desire to revitalize the lost art of customersService, we set out on a quest to build the best drive-thru beverage experience on the planet,” the Clutch Coffee Bar website states.
Clutch Coffee Bar also supports local causes through the Clutch Cares branch of its business to give back to the community.
Other locations in addition to the Indian Land spot are forthcoming, including spots in Charleston and Mount Pleasant and another location heading to Fayetteville in 2026.
