A restaurant group based out of Columbia is bringing a new concept to South End. The concept, whose name has not been announced yet, is heading to the former Summerbird space in the RailYard South End at 1422 S Tryon St., Suite 140, according to Word on the Street CLT.
The owners recently inked the lease, so the spot is still in the early stages of development. It is expected to open sometime in 2026.
The team behind the forthcoming spot operates concepts in South Carolina including Coa Agaveria y Cocina and Masa Mexican Street Food in Columbia, and Salud Mexican Kitchen in Camden and Columbia. It is unclear at this time if the concept heading to South End will be one of their preexisting concepts or a different one.
All three concepts serve Mexican cuisine in an elevated atmosphere. Salud offers menu items like nachos, quesadillas, tortas, tacos, enchiladas and burritos. Coa Agaveria serves tacos, shareables and a variety of meat-driven dishes. Masa offers items such as tamales, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, bowls, tortas, nachos and snacks.
Further details remain unclear at this time. What Now Charlotte reached out to the ownership team but did not hear back prior to the time of publication.
