Cook Out has a new location in the Greater Charlotte area listed as “coming soon” on its website. A new location is heading to 222 James Avenue in Locust.
Plans filed with the City of Locust earlier this year for the site indicated plans to construct a 3,200-square-foot location.
This is one of several locations still coming to the Greater Charlotte area amid a major push for expansion for the chain across North Carolina . Others that still are coming soon include a spot on W. T. Harris Boulevard, one on Charlottetowne Avenue and one on Woodland Beaver Road. It is also expanding in other areas of the state. Another location is on the way to Fayetteville.
The Thomasville-based fast-casual chain is known for its burgers, fries, hot dogs and shakes. CEO Jeremy Reaves has been leading its recent expansion across the Southeast, and it now has more than 350 locations open.
An exact opening timeline for the new location heading to Locust remains unclear at this time.
