Thirty-four years after making its debut in Greensboro, Cook Out is getting ready to have a big year by opening more locations in the company’s home state.
The company will start by expanding with another location in Greensboro at 4801 W Market Street, followed by another site coming to Randleman at 685 W. Academy Street, according to the company’s website. On top of these two listed upcoming locations, Cook Out’s website also lists several other new restaurants coming soon, including sites in Hickory, Southport, and Wilmington and new locations coming to South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The several upcoming locations prove the company is far from slowing down its expansion plans. Closer to Charlotte, the company recently submitted a sketch plan review with the city to open a new location at 10820 Woodland Beaver Rd. This will be the closest Cook Out to downtown Charlotte. While the city is still processing the request, owners are looking to construct a new 3,100-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru. The new location on Albemarle Road is expected to open later this year, possibly early next year.
When these locations open, customers can expect homemade char-grilled hamburgers, chicken options, and cook-out barbecue choices, such as hot dogs, quesadillas, and hushpuppies. Those with a sweet tooth will find dozens of milkshake options, with over 30 flavors. The restaurant also offers a handful of ice cream floats, cheesecake, and other drinks. Cook Out proudly serves what they consider the best combos in town.
