Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is slated to join the Friendly Center in Greensboro, according to the Friendly Center website.
The upscale concept, founded by CEO Tim McEnery in 2005, brings a Napa Valley-inspired wine experience to its guests. The brand currently has 71 locations across 13 states, with additional locations coming soon to Alabama, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida. The Greensboro location will be the first to join the North Carolina market.
“Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is built upon the passionate belief that food and wine hold the power to forge lasting connections,” the website states.
The company is known for its acclaimed wine collection. The menu features an extensive wine and cocktail list, burgers, sandwiches and pastas like gnocchi alla vodka and braised short rib risotto. The menu also offers protein-based entrees like filet mignon, pistachio-crusted grouper, red wine braised short ribs and chicken piccata.
“Cooper’s Hawk has created a modern, casual dining experience with warm hospitality in an inviting upscale setting,” the website states. “Our culinary team has designed a contemporary American menu infused with flavors from around the world. Each dish is made fresh in our scratch kitchen, incorporating peak-of-season ingredients, and listed with a bin number to guide you to your selection’s perfect wine match.”
The concept features a full-service bar, a private dining room and a wine tasting room.
It will join other restaurant concepts at the Friendly Center, including Bravo! Italian Kitchen, CAVA, Harper’s Restaurant and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar.
Construction has begun on Cooper’s Hawk, and it is expected to open in late summer, according to reporting by WFMY News 2.
