Crumbl will be joining a new development in Rock Hill, according to an announcement released during the summer from the Warren Norman Company. Warren Norman’s development, the Sharonwood Shopping Center, has been taking shape at the corner of Celanese and India Hook Roads in Rock Hill.

Crumbl has leased a 1,310-square-foot space in the first multi-tenant retail building that began to take shape during the summer. It joins dirty soda franchise Swig, which also leased a space in the building with plans to bring its second location to the Charlotte market.

Launched in Utah in 2017 by Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley, the cookie franchise has grown to more than 1,000 locations. It is known for its rotating cookie flavors, ranging from classic chocolate chip cookies to unique flavors like hazelnut sea salt.

Crumbl made its way to the Charlotte market in 2020 under local franchisee Cole Hegerhorst, who opened his first location in Tega Cay. Since then, he has expanded his footprint in the market, with locations all the way up to Winston-Salem. Currently, there are six locations in Charlotte, including South Carolina spots in Tega Cay and Indian Land.

As of now, an exact opening timeline is unclear.
