After successfully gaining a reputation from its Dilworth and SouthPark locations, Dilworth Tasting Room is opening a new site in Plaza Midwood at 1413 Central Ave.

The company’s third location will move next to Midwood Smokehouse and across from Commonwealth, according to Axios Charlotte. Owners plan to open the new DTR Plaza Midwood in the third quarter of 2024. Customers can expect 3,600 square feet of indoor space attached to an additional 1,300 square feet of outdoor patio, which will be dog-friendly and available all year long with the help of heaters and shade. Both the inside and outside will have a bar.

Dilworth Tasting Room’s bar manager, Alejandro IbaƱez, will create a crafted cocktail menu to compliment the restaurant’s impressive seasonal wine selection. As for food, the new DTR will feature shareable plates from around the world, such as “peka,” a traditional Croatian dish cooked slowly inside a traditional oven. A fully open kitchen will allow customers to watch their food be made before it leaves for the table. The Beck Group is helping the Kovic’s redesign the building.

“Reminiscent of the wine bars and Enotecas of Europe, both locations feature open-air patios to enjoy Carolina’s mild climate most of the year,” according to the company’s website. “Our menu features classic cocktails, craft cocktails with a touch of drama, and an extensive, unique wine list curated by Sommelier and Owner Jaffer Kovic that focuses on low-production, high-quality wines you won’t find anywhere else.”
