Donatos Pizza, an Ohio-based pizza chain found throughout the country, is preparing to open a new location in Fort Mill at 1034 Gold Hill Road.

The company’s newest location is one of the last tenants announced for The Overlook at Gold Hill, a 9,300-square-foot multi-building venture, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. Other tenants announced for the development include New York Butcher Shoppe and Wine Bar, YogaSix, and Sanders Dental Studio, all of which are expected to open later this year. Donatos Pizza franchise owner Cody Weaver will open the new location in a 2,550-square-foot space.

“In one of Charlotte’s fastest-growing submarkets, we’re aiming to bring businesses to this underserved market that will provide amenities to the neighborhood and surrounding community,” MPV Properties’ Robbie Adams tells the Business Journal, who is working with MPV’s Josh Suggs to help assist the landlord, Vulcan Property Group, with leasing.

While there is no exact opening date for the new Donatos Pizza, it will be the fourth location in South Carolina, along with sites in Summerville, Boiling Springs, and West Ashley. Despite the limited number of locations in South Carolina, the brand has opened at least 17 Donatos Pizza sites throughout North Carolina. The company announced last year that a new franchise group is planning to open additional locations in the greater Charlotte area. When the new Fort Mill location opens, customers can expect edge-to-edge toppings and thin-crust pizza.
