New York’s Dos Caminos, a concept owned by Landry’s Inc., is getting ready to expand to North Carolina for the first time with a location in Charlotte at 601 S Tryon Street, site #135.

This will be the restaurant’s seventh location, moving to the ground floor of Ally Charlotte Center, anchored by JW Marriott Charlotte and the Museum of Illusions. A representative from the company tells What Now Charlotte that while there is no exact opening date for this new location, Dos Caminos is expected to open around mid-November. The company recently opened new sites in New York City and Atlantic City.

When Dos Caminos opens, it will sit across from Golden Cow Creamery, facing East Brooklyn Village Ave. Other nearby eateries include Dean’s Italian Steakhouse, Starbucks, Salata, and JINYA Ramen Bar. This new eating option will give the area a taste of authentic and upscale Mexican cuisine, including fresh guac, delicious margaritas, and South of the Border favorites.

Dos Caminos was originally a concept owned by New York-based BR Guest Hospitality before it was acquired by Landry’s Inc. founder Tilman Fertitta in 2016. On top of Dos Caminos, the deal accounted for 15 Manhattan restaurants, including Bill’s Burgers of Manhattan, the Atlantic Grills, Blue Water Grill, and Isabella’s, making Landy’s Inc. the largest independent operator in Manhattan. This will be the company’s sixth concept in the Charlotte area, following two McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks, a Morton’s Steakhouse, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, and The Palm.
