Eggs Up Grill is sizzling into Charlotte after signing a major expansion deal. The deal involves six locations in the Charlotte area and one in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
Conley McIntyre, a current Eggs Up Grill franchisee, will be heading up the expansion. He already owns six South Carolina locations.
The first location is set to open in Monroe at 5124 Old Charlotte Hwy. McIntyre said they are aiming to open this location by the end of 2024.
For now, he is focused on opening this first location, but he has been searching for additional spots to continue the expansion. As of now, no other locations have been set.
“On the first one, I really want to take my time and make sure we plant the flag, so to speak, in Charlotte, and knock it out of the park there in Monroe,” McIntyre said. “We’ve also looked at a few sites in the Concord and Harrisburg area. We’ve also looked a bit in Kannapolis as well.”
Conley said he is looking forward to bringing a new concept to the Charlotte area.
“It’s brand new,” Conley said. “It’s exciting. We don’t have anything up there yet. I’m a big Carolina Panthers fan and Charlotte Hornets fan, so [my family and I] go up there all the time. We love the area. Just to plant the flag in that community, and to become part of that community at the ground level and see the growth — that’s what’s most exciting for me.”
Currently, Eggs Up Grill has 81 locations across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas and Mississippi. It is known for serving classic breakfast and brunch items as well as lunch items like sandwiches and salads.
“We have a high standard for what we do,” McIntyre said. “We provide a good breakfast that people can eat every single day at an affordable price. And the environment — in my opinion, there’s nothing else like it. We’re very community-centric, comfortable and cozy.”
