Following the closure of its Fort Mill location, the owners of Emmet’s Social Table are searching for a larger space.

The popular American restaurant, with a location in Waxhaw, has announced it is searching for a larger space, according to the company’s Facebook. Owners Megan and Dan Giroux closed the doors of the Fort Mill location at 100 Main Street after July 9 with little information as to what will follow. Yesterday, a new concept called Center Theatre Pizza and Ice Cream posted on its Facebook that it will soon replace Emmet’s Social Table.

Owners of Center Theatre PI tell What Now Charlotte that they expect to open this new pizza and ice cream concept in the second or third week of October. With this announcement, Emmet’s Social Table showed its support for what will be coming to its former home and, at the same time, shared some hopeful insight as to what’s next, saying,” If you’re bummed it’s not an Emmets, have no fear. We are keeping our ‘eyes’ out for a larger spot!”

While the owners search for a new location for the company’s second home, fans of Emmet’s Social Table can visit the Waxhaw site at 401 E. South Main Street. Customers can expect a welcoming environment full of delicious beer, cocktails, wines, small plates, and other bar foods. Whether you’re there for a drink or a bite to eat, Emmet’s Social Table is a great place for family, friends, or acquaintances to come together.

“The Small Plates, or American Style Tapas concept is one designed around guests sharing multiple rounds of food, allowing for different flavor experiences in just one dining experience,” the company’s website says regarding the Waxhaw location. “There is plenty of space to relax and enjoy a throwback craft cocktail, local draft, or a glass of wine. Whether in our spacious bar area, dining room, or out on the large front patio featuring a 10-seat fire pit, plenty of smaller tables, and our “Social Table” that seats 16 guests from one or multiple parties.”
