Maryland-based pizza franchise Ledo Pizza opened in Rock Hill 14 years ago. Now, the family is planning an expansion to Lake Wylie at Aston’s forthcoming development, Westlake Village, at the intersection of State Highway 55 and SC-49. The Charlotte Observer first reported the news.
Owner Larry Rose will open Ledo Pizza in a 2,500-square-foot space in the development. The spot will be similar in design to the Rock Hill location, offering an outdoor patio with a garage door opening into the pub.
“We’re very excited to bring great quality and service to the area,” Rose told What Now Charlotte. “We’ve lived in the area for eight years and know that it’s really a need down there, so we’re super excited to expand the brand to the Lake Wylie and Clover area for sure.”
The menu offers pizzas such as pepperoni lover’s, Mike’s Hot Honey pepperoni, meatlovers, Hawaiian and build-your-own options. Other options include wings, tenders and calzones.
Rose said he plans to open the Lake Wylie location in Q1 of 2027.
Ledo Pizza opened in Maryland in 1955. Now, the franchise has more than 100 locations. Rose said he and his family hope to continue to expand in the Charlotte market.
“We’ll continue to look for expansion and ways to serve the community,” Rose said. “It’s a family-style and nice place to hang out that serves really great food. We’ve been in Rock Hill for 14 years and nobody knew what Ledo Pizza was. Now with a lot of people moving to the Charlotte area from the Maryland-Virginia-D.C. area, we’re becoming a fan favorite.”
