Five Guys, an American fast food chain focused on hamburgers and fries, is preparing to open a new location in Rock Hill, along Herlong Road, at Arden Lane and Bly St.

The company was recently announced as the newest tenant coming to the upcoming Allston development, according to The Warren Norman Company. Franchise group PSP Holdings CEO Rick Fisher confirms with What Now San Diego that they will own and operate the upcoming location, which is expected to open in early 2024. Five Guys will lease 2,400 square feet within a 6,500 square-foot multi-tenant building currently under construction.

Other restaurants coming to the development include Chipotle and Ledo Pizza. PSP Holdings is a franchisee and developer of Five Guys and Popeyes in North and South Carolina and Georgia. Currently, the group owns several Five Guys in the greater Charlotte area, including sites in Connection Point, New Bern, Matthew, South Park Mall, Blankeney, Midwood, Steele Creek, Monroe, Arboretum, Gastonia, and two already in Rock Hill. The group also has a location at 1326 Central Avenue that is planned to reopen in March 2024, according to their website.

The Virginia-based company continues to slowly take over the Carolinas, recently replacing a Habit Burger Grill at 3125 Gammon Lane in Clemmons. It was the California chain’s first Triad store when it opened in Peace Haven Village in 2019. Founders Jerry and Janie Murrell began franchising the company in 2003. Two decades later, the brand has almost 1,700 locations, with another 1,500 units in development.
