Frothy Beard Brewing Company is looking to open its first location in North Carolina in South End, at 1200 S. Graham St.

The company’s third location will move into the former home of Bhramari Brewing Company, which closed in February after less than six months and plans to re-open under new leadership and a new brand, according to Axios. Frothy Beard is expected to make its Charlotte debut in July 2023, with a kitchen opening shortly after. The company, owned by Michael Biondi, Joey Siconolfi, and Steve McCauley, opened in Charleston in 2013 before expanding to Summerville in 2017. At the time of its opening, it was the 10th brewery in South Carolina.

Unlike any of the company’s other locations, the new South End location will have a kitchen with a menu full of pizzas, burgers, and salads. Customers will still find various beers, including their most popular beers: the “Sip Sip Pass,” a New England IPA, and the “Tides of Galway,” an Irish red ale. The original location at 1401 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard features a sizeable indoor taproom, 32 rotating taps, and weekly events.

“I was in grad school, and we were home brewing around the Clemson area,” Biondi tells Axios. “We turned our kitchen, bathroom, and living room into like a full brewery at the house. We just really had a passion for it. We’re just really excited to come to the area. It’s gonna be a cool spot for people to come before Panthers games and before the soccer games.”
