Charlotte-born franchise Hoppin’ has had a new location under construction at 215 N. Ames St. in Matthews. The long-awaited location is expected to open this spring, according to reporting by the Charlotte Observer.

CEO Rich Moyer launched the self-serve taproom concept in Charlotte in 2017 and since then, the franchise has grown to include locations in South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee.

The location in Charlotte offers a variety of beers and cocktails, as well as food items such as tacos and bowls. The franchise is known for its self-serve “tapwall” that houses its beers.
