Scoop N Scootery franchisee Patrick Knorring recently shared plans for his first location in the Charlotte market, slated to open in late spring. However, there are more locations on the way in the future, Knorring told What Now Charlotte.
Knorring has signed on as a multi-unit franchisee, with plans to open three to four stores in the Charlotte Metropolitan area. His territory includes Charlotte as well as surrounding counties, communities that he hopes to eventually be able to serve with the Scoop N Scootery delivery service.
Knorring expects to open his second store about 18 months after the first opens in Wesley Heights. Customers can expect the second location to open in December 2026. Knorring is targeting south Charlotte for that location.
In subsequent years, Knorring expects to target University Center for a third location, with a goal to attract college students to the brand. The fourth location would likely be in the Davidson or Mooresville areas.
Knorring views the delivery service, as well as the large, signature sundaes served by the Scoop N Scootery brand, as differentiators in the Charlotte market. The Massachusetts-based chain has been slowly progressing toward franchising since it launched in 2014.
“I’m excited to get the Charlotte community to love these ice cream sundaes as much as I do,” Knorring said.
