Local pizza brand Inizio Pizza Napoletana has a new location in the pipeline. It has taken a lease for a 2,800-square foot space at Cotswold Village, with plans to open there in the first quarter of 2026, according to reporting by the Charlotte Business Journal.
Inizio currently has locations in Ballantyne, Dilworth, Fort Mill and Huntersville. The Cotswold Village spot will be the fifth for Inizio.
The brand is committed to making true neapolitan-style pizza. Owner Grant Arons has drawn on years of experience in the pizza industry and his own nostalgia for local pizzerias to bring the Inizio concept to life.
They use strict guidelines to stay true to the art of the neapolitan-style pizza, using wood-fired ovens that cook the pizza within 90 seconds. They also use origin-specific ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes to craft their pizzas.
“We believe this style is the pinnacle of the artisan experience, stripped down to its purest expression of fresh ingredients, strict standards, and expert craft,” Arons wrote on the website. “Our handcrafted pies are made with world class ingredients and years of experience, intensive research and passion (the most important ingredient).”
Pizza options include margherita, formaggi, diavola (with spicy salami and Calabrian peppers), vodka pesto, bianca and limone capra (with sliced lemon, fig jam and goat cheese ricotta). There are also vegan and gluten-free options.
Other menu items include salads, gelato cannolis and some wine and craft beer options.
