Jaggers, the burger-and-shake brand under the Texas Roadhouse umbrella, is planning to build a new restaurant with a drive-thru at 6711 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh, according to reporting by the Triangle Business Journal.
Texas Roadhouse founder Kent Taylor launched the brand in 2014 with its first location in Indiana. It now has 13 locations — most of them company-owned — across Indiana, Kentucky and North Carolina.
Current North Carolina locations include Fayetteville, Greenville and — most recently — Jacksonville, which opened in 2023. The Raleigh location will be the fourth to open in the state.
The menu at Jaggers features burgers such as the bacon avocado burger and the green chile cheeseburger; crispy fried chicken and grilled chicken sandwiches; chicken tenders; salad options; and a variety of milkshakes such as the chocolate chip cookie shake and the banana split shake.
“Our food is fresh, authentic, scratch-made food,” the Jaggers website states. “We prepare our food items only after we receive the order, and ensure our food is made-for-you. Our veggies are sliced and diced fresh every day. Our chicken is seasoned, dipped and crisped with our homemade batter you can’t find anywhere else. Even our sauces and dressings are made from scratch in-house.”
Texas Roadhouse has been around since 1993, when it launched in Indiana. Now, it has hundreds of locations across the country, operating as a classic American steakhouse with items like ribs, beer and fresh-baked bread. In addition to Jaggers, Texas Roadhouse also operated Bubba’s, which serves burgers, pizzas and wings.
As of now it is unclear when the Raleigh location for Jaggers will open, but it appears to be in the early stages of development.
