Local Bottle Shop is planning to move locations later this summer, co-owner Dawon Millwood told What Now Charlotte. It will move into a building that the team purchased at 37 Union Street South.

The building will also house the owners’ forthcoming restaurant-and-market concept Concord Trading Post.

Millwood opened Local Bottle Shop with Kelsey Babos last March. It is a taproom and bottle shop dedicated to bringing the community together with high-quality drink options, offering 20 draft beer options, as well as draft wines and ciders.

“Our journey began with an unwavering passion for craft beer and a genuine desire to extend the joy of discovery to our local community,” the Local Bottle Shop website states.

Millwood said that the new location is currently undergoing renovations. The design will have more industrial elements than the current Local Bottle Shop space. It will have “a vintage industrial vibe” with elements of color and design touches like an exposed brick wall.

The spot will allow them to have both Local Bottle Shop and the Concord Trading Post under one roof, bringing both beverage offerings and simple, affordable food options together for the Downtown Concord community to enjoy.

Millwood indicated that they hope to open up in the new space at the end of August, though construction progress will determine the timeline.
