Eggs Up Grill, a rapidly growing breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, began serving breakfast in Cornelius last week. Located at 19732 One Norman Blvd. in Turnberry Place, the restaurant is owned by husband-and-wife team Chris and Sofia Mendoza and their business partner Alfonso Segura. This is the fourth Eggs Up Grill restaurant to open in the Charlotte market.
Chris Mendoza began his restaurant career with Yum Brands, having spent 14 years under the Taco Bell umbrella. He credits the organization and several of his mentors with teaching him the importance of gratitude and giving back. He also says Eggs Up Grill is a golden opportunity for his family. The couple plans to give back in many ways but look forward to supporting local elementary schools including a new partnership with Lake Norman Elementary.
“We didn’t just want to own a business, but rather we wanted to do something that is meaningful,” said Chris Mendoza in a statement. “We invite all of our neighbors to join us at our new restaurant for the best breakfast, brunch and lunch in town, where it will be all about the community.”
The 2,500 square-foot restaurant has seating for 94 indoors, plus an outdoor patio for 32. The Cornelius restaurant serves guests seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with dine-in, online ordering, takeout and delivery options available.
Eggs Up Grill caters events, big or small, with a menu featuring breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy and muffins. Salads and sandwiches are available for catered lunch.
