Entertainment and restaurant concept Main Event is planning to join a development at 515 Guilford College Road in Greensboro.

Site plans indicate that the spot will be about 48,800 square feet, according to the Triad Business Journal.

This growing development along Guilford College Road has received much attention lately, especially after Topgolf opened its 50,000-square-foot facility last month at nearby 609 Guilford College Road.

Further plans indicate that other tenants are heading to the development, as well. A Marriott Studio Res hotel and a Circle K convenience store appear to be looking to join the Greensboro development alongside Main Event.

Main Event describes itself as “fun family entertainment” on its website, featuring games like bowling, virtual reality, laser tag, escape rooms, mini golf and billiards. It also serves a menu with items like wings, burgers, chicken sandwiches, pizzas, sliders and sundaes.

Main Event has locations across 22 states, with an especially strong presence in its home state of Texas. The brand has been around since 1998, but it was acquired by Dave and Busters in 2022. Currently, there is only one other North Carolina location in Fayetteville.

At this point, the timeline for opening is unclear. However, it appears the site is still in the early stages of development.
