Raffaele and Madison Patrizi, the duo behind Mano Bella, have plans in the works for Capishe. They recently acquired the restaurant at 500 E. Morehead St., as reported by the Charlotte Business Journal.
Madison told What Now Charlotte that they will be transitioning Capishe into a new concept, though development of the new brand is still in the works.
“The concept will be very similar to the existing Capishe concept but it’s also going to draw upon my husband’s background growing up in Rome, Italy, and just our experience of opening and running Mano Bella here in Charlotte the last five years,” Madison said.
The Patrizis prioritize sharing made-from-scratch authentic Italian dishes and sourcing from local farmers at Mano Bella. They plan to stay committed to this mission with the new concept. The Capishe space will also allow the team to expand some of their production as they continue to explore options for a larger production facility.
“We love to show people the process behind how we make our food so that will still be very much a part of what we do at Capishe,” Madison said.
They are targeting an early summer transition to the new concept. In the meantime, Capishe remains open.
