ROAR, a family entertainment center with food and drink options, is getting ready to open a second location in Rock Hill, located at 220 White St.

The new 17,000-square-foot entertainment center will be coming to The Thread, a 400,000-square-foot mixed-use redevelopment project in the Knowledge Park district, according to the Rock Hill Herald. Customers can expect a casual dining concept with a full kitchen and bar offering craft cocktails and plenty of food options. As for entertainment, ROAR will feature duckpin bowling, mini golf, arcade games, and live performances, all inspired by the roaring ’20s.

This will be the second location of ROAR, as Mayfair Hospitality first opened the premier dining and entertainment destination in Winston-Salem at 633 N. Liberty St. This location features the Fords food hall, featuring an abundance of dining options under one roof, ranging from authentic Italian to casual eateries. As for the new Rock Hill ROAR, construction is expected to begin sometime this month, with an initial opening date planned for August 2024.

“Roar is a classic reborn,” according to the company’s website. “Bringing back the joy of the roaring 20s into the 633 N Liberty building in Winston-Salem with casual dining, a food hall, and an abundance of games and entertainment across four floors. There is something for everyone! Feel like grabbing a drink? We have a 90-tap three-story self-serve beer & wine wall, four full-service bars, and a rooftop club complete with city views, VIP cabanas, and all your favorite cocktails.”
