North Carolina Tex-Mex chain Mezcalito has plans for growth in the Triangle. The brand has inked a deal for a 6,400-square-foot space at The Exchange at 1000 Social, Suite 140, in Raleigh, according to the Triangle Business Journal. They are aiming to open there in early 2026.

Mezcalito serves Mexican dishes like fajitas, enchiladas, carnitas and tacos. It also serves a full beverage program, featuring margaritas, mojitos, cocktails, wine and beer.

The brand opened its first location in 2019 and now has locations Apex, Clayton, Goldsboro, Beaufort, Durham and Henderson. It has been in expansion mode over the past year, securing a lease in Rolesville last fall.

They also launched another cafe-bar, Aaktun Coffee + Bar, in Durham within the past year and already expanded to another location in Clayton.
