Michael Waltrip Taproom Opens New Location in Mooresville, North Carolina, Bringing Craft Beer and Racing Spirit to Race City USA

The new taproom offers a unique experience with 20 beers on tap, 100% Wagyu beef burgers and a special “Locals Only” menu, all in the heart of a town rich in auto racing history

Michael Waltrip Taproom announced the opening of a brand-new taproom in Mooresville, North Carolina, also known as Race City USA. Located in the Byers Creek Shopping Center at 128 Argus Lane, Unit D, this latest addition to the Michael Waltrip Taproom family is set to become a must-visit destination for racing fans and beer enthusiasts alike.

“Opening a Michael Waltrip Taproom in Race City USA is the perfect next step for our brand,” said Waltrip in a statement. “I love seeing our fans sipping beers and smiling. I’m thrilled that we get to do it in a town that means so much to racing and to me personally.”

The new taproom spans 5,154 square feet, offering seating for 175 inside and an additional 24 seats outside. This company-owned location features 20 beers on tap, featuring 10 from Michael Waltrip Brewing. Guests can enjoy a variety of offerings, from six-packs and growlers to 100% Wagyu beef burgers sourced from a local North Carolina farm. The taproom also offers branded merchandise, a private event space, daily food and drink specials, and Sunday Ticket during football season.

Mooresville guests will also be able to enjoy a special “Locals Only” menu that highlights some of the area’s favorite dishes, such as the jalapeño poppers, reuben sandwich, Californication burger, smothered chicken and fish n’ chips.

“The team at Michael Waltrip Taproom couldn’t be more thrilled about joining the Mooresville community,” said Jena Henderson, president of Michael Waltrip Taproom. “With our second location in the Charlotte area, we hope to expand our footprint and continue our dedication to the communities we are a part of. We proudly serve cold beer, great food and legendary times.”

The grand opening festivities kicked off on September 9th with a customer celebration including free sliders, door prizes and $1.50 Michael Waltrip beers. A special ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Mooresville Chamber of Commerce begin on the morning of September 9th at 10:30 am. The celebrations continues on September 14th with a meet and greet with Michael Waltrip from 6p-9p and live music.
