Midtown Cafe and Dessertery Plans Expansion Into Adjacent Space

City permit outlines new meeting space, office, and storage for Winston-Salem eatery.

Midtown Cafe & Dessertery is poised to expand into the adjacent Magic Lash Studio space, at 147 S Stratford Rd, according to a commercial evaluation permit issued by the city of Winston-Salem.

The permit describes the project as a “possible expansion into adjoining location for Midtown Cafe. Space will be used for rented meeting space, office, and additional storage.”

Despite requests for comment, Co-Owner Jeff Cayton has not responded to What Now Charlotte.

Midtown Cafe & Dessertery, a local establishment since 1987, began as a modest dessert shop dedicated to homemade cakes and exceptional service. Now located in Stratford Village, Midtown Cafe has been serving Winston-Salem for over 30 years. The cafe has been recognized as The Triad’s Best Breakfast and The Triad’s Best Desserts.

Midtown Cafe offers breakfast all day, unique sandwiches, vibrant salads, comforting soups, hearty dinners, seasonal dishes, and a renowned selection of over 30 desserts. The cafe provides dine-in, outdoor patio seating, takeout, and corporate delivery services.
