PIE.ZAA, a popular pizza spot in Asheville known for its giant slices, is expanding to Charlotte’s South End, located at 1440 S. Tryon St.
The company’s second location will be 2,500 square feet and will be found in the same building as Brigid’s Irish Pub, Vinyl, and Wooden Robot Coffee Bar and Brewery, according to Jason Thomas. The company, led by Tyler Kotch, Rick Martin, and Taylor Keenan, started at 46 Millard Avenue in Asheville and is now getting ready to open the new location sometime in early 2024. PIE.ZAA’s original site is currently reconsidering its core menu.
While South End has a range of places to get pizza, from North Italia to Blaze Pizza and Emmy Squared Pizza, this will serve the community as a late-night option. The original Asheville location is open until at least midnight every week. PIE.ZAA offers a handful of delicious pizzas, including Sweet Caroline, garden, sausage, and Supreme, as well as a pizza of the month. This month is a Farmhouse Ranch pizza with fresh mozzarella, chicken, bacon, house ranch, and chives.
While PIE.ZAA is known for its delicious giant slices, the company often finds ways to have special promotions to keep customers interested. Last month the company partnered with Slip Stitch and Glass to give away a one-of-a-kind dyed t-shirt only available through social media. PIE.ZAA has other merchandise options with its distinct logo on it.
