Lake Norman’s La Unica, which in April announced it would now be known as Rio 150, later this year will open a second location, the restaurant confirmed on Facebook this month.
“Who’s ready for us to come to Mill One in downtown Mooresville!?!,” Rio 150 wrote on the social media site.
In the post’s comments section, Co-Owner Rashel Limper said the new outpost is slated to open in the fall or winter, 2023.
Mill One is a new multifamily development by MV2 Investments, which went under construction in late 2020 near Liberty Park. It offers 90 high-end apartments and 33,000 square feet of commercial space, at 201 N. Church St., where Rio 150 will be housed.
“We are a local, family-owned authentic Mexican Restaurant based out of Tijuana, Baja California,” Rio 150 writes on its website. “We strive to give great, fast service with quality, fresh ingredients and a friendly smile!”
