A new three-part entertainment compound called Rozzelles Ferry Landing has opened its doors in West Charlotte, located at 2831 Rozzelles Ferry Road, with a co-working cafe and cocktail bar coming next.
Owner Greg Willingham opened the first of three concepts at Rozelles Ferry Landing this week, starting with its indoor live entertainment venue, Mel’s, which can seat up to 60 people, according to QCityMetro. The space will host various acts, ranging from spoken word and comedy to local and regional bands, acts, and singers. Next, he plans to open a speakeasy-style bar called That Little House and a neighborhood cafe called The Hub, both opening next month.
The Little House will offer an intimate ambiance with house furniture, handcrafted cocktails, and small plates. The Hub will be more of a daytime destination where people can work in community areas and small conference rooms. The co-working coffee shop will have a handful of coffee, tea, soda, and grab-and-go food. Both destinations will serve as a place for people to come together and relax, work, or network with other patrons. Willingham plans to have a grand opening event for both concepts once completed. He plans to host ticketed outdoor events in the compound in Spring 2024.
“Rozzelles Ferry Landing will be a live music and cultural oasis featuring regional and local live entertainment, performing jazz, soul, funk, blues, and cool pop, curated for the 5 Points Neighborhood neighbors, Charlotte live music enthusiasts, and visitors to the Charlotte metro area,” according to the company’s website. “The campus will also offer cultural events, DJs, food, and local beer and wine offerings at a price you would expect from the neighborhood hot spot.”
