Cape Fear Seafood Company will open at 1885 Lake Pine Drive in Cary this May, according to the Triangle Business Journal. The space formerly housed Brewster’s Pub.

Founded in 2008 by Evans Trawick, the Wilmington-based brand has been growing in the Carolinas. There are currently six locations for the brand throughout North Carolina and one in South Carolina. Matt Wivel and Eddie Elliott, who also operate locations in Raleigh and Wake Forest, will be opening the new Cary location.

The seafood spot serves items like lemon pepper sea scallops, Cape Fear shrimp and grits, jambalaya and lobster and shrimp risotto.

“At Cape Fear Seafood Company, our mission is to transport guests on a coastal culinary journey, where the essence of the South meets the freshness of the sea,” the Cape Fear Seafood Company website states. “We are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences that resonate with warmth, flavor and genuine Southern hospitality.”

There are more expansion plans in the future for the brand. Cape Fear Seafood Company is also expanding to Greenville and Surf City, according to the Business Journal.
