Husband-and-wife team John and Lillian Brijeski have chosen their second location for Shipley Do-Nuts. They opened their first location in Concord in February, marking the first location for the franchise in North Carolina.

The second location will be in a 1,200-square-foot space at 3021 Stelfox St., Suite 101, and they plan to open up shop there in October, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

Shipley Do-Nuts has been around since 1936 when Lawrence Shipley, Sr. created fluffy, simple doughnuts and began to sell them in Houston. Now, the brand has more than 60 varieties of doughnuts to choose from, ranging from classic glazed doughnuts to flavors like cherry iced and chocolate cream-filled doughnuts. The menu also includes kolaches, rolls and coffee.

The brand plans to bring five locations to the Charlotte area, and other franchise locations are expected to pop up in areas like the Triad and Raleigh-Durham.
