Shuckin’ Shack is gearing up to open at the Promenade on Providence at 5349 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy, according to an ABC filing.

Dawn and Kevin Powers are first-time franchisees with the brand and will be operating the Shuckin’ Shack location heading to Charlotte. They first connected with the brand when they were living in Wilmington, and their son previously worked for the location in Carolina Beach. Dawn told What Now Charlotte that after a career working in the restaurant industry, she wanted to own her own spot.

They are targeting an April opening and hope to cultivate a good community presence in addition to serving high-quality food.

The spot offers menu items such as seafood plates, po-boys, oysters and fish ’n chips. The brand has been expanding across the East Coast, reaching from Maryland down to Florida.
