ONE Group Hospitality is getting ready to open its newest location of STK Steakhouse in Charlotte, at 201 S. College St.

The new 7,000-square-foot fine dining restaurant will move into the former home of Carolina Ale House, according to Charlotte Business Journal. The company said last year they hope to open this site in Summer 2023. Customers can expect a traditional steakhouse with a chic lounge featuring an in-house DJ to create a high-energy atmosphere designed to encourage guests to interact with each other. The hospitality group made significant improvements to the site, including interior and exterior renovations.

“We’re thrilled that STK has selected Charlotte Plaza to launch their entry into this market, capitalizing on an opportunity that positions the brand on one of uptown’s most prominent corners,” Lynne Lawrence, who serves as executive vice president for Rabina, the parent company of Charlotte Plaza, said last year during the announcement.

ONE Group Hospitality, led by founder Jonathan Segal, already operates 22 STK locations in metropolitan U.S. cities, Europe, and the Middle East. This will be the first one in North Carolina. Like many of their other concepts, such as Eddie V’s, customers can expect high-quality food and world-class service. The menu will include high-quality steaks, Wagyu cuts, dry-aged options, and classics such as ribeyes and NY Strip steaks. The restaurant also offers a handful of starters, seafood options, and some desserts.
