Sugar Creek Brewing is planning an expansion this fall. It is aiming to open an 8,000-square-foot restaurant and beer garden at 421 N. Lee St. in Salisbury, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. This will be the second location for the brand.
Sugar Creek Brewing Company opened its brewery in South End in 2014. The brand set out with the goal of producing Belgian-style beer. Since its inception, the brand has expanded its beer sales across the Carolinas and even to some international markets. Their mission is “to craft beer and experiences that people will love and share around the world,” according to the website.
The Sugar Creek Brewing team was inspired by the history of the Belgian beer craft, according to the Sugar Creek Brewing website. They also wanted to pursue a beer style with wide appeal.
Their beer list includes their flagship beer The Big O Blood Orange IPA, as well as additional options like the Sugar Creek Pale Ale and the Big Hazy O. There are also limited-time and seasonal offerings available.
The food menu at their location currently open in Charlotte includes soups and salads; small plates like charcuterie boards and nachos; doner kebabs; and paninis such as The Belgian Dip. In addition to their beer offerings, the taproom also serves cocktails, wine and cider.
