Summerbird, a new fast-casual restaurant that creates a year-round summer vibe, is getting ready to open two new locations in the Charlotte area.

Inspired by its own summer memories in Charlotte, the company opened its flagship location in South End at 1422 S. Tyron Street in Spring 2022. Now the company is preparing to open two more locations in the area, according to multiple job postings. These new locations will feature an environment where people are carefree, playful, and cherish a solid work-life balance. The exact location and opening dates of these two new sites are unknown.

When these locations open, customers can expect delicious snacks and meals made with premium ingredients, fresh flavors, and sweet treats. The menu is inspired by Southern classics and modern favorites, featuring various salads, sandwiches, chicken options, and other sides. While Charlotte has plenty of chicken options, founder and former NASCAR CEO Brian France introduced the concept with managing partner Austin Tate as a new alternative with “indulgent” fried chicken sandwiches and “healthy” salads.

“The spirit of summer is ingrained in everything we do at Summerbird, starting with treating our customers like a guest in our own backyard,” according to the company’s website. “From our fresh squeezed citrusades, to modern salads and classic crispy or grilled chicken sandwiches, our menu has a little something for everyone, and we know you’re going to love it.”
