Summit Coffee, a fast-growing coffee and lifestyle brand based in North Carolina, is preparing to open a new location in North Charlotte.

The Davidson-based coffee company was recently announced as one of two new tenants coming to the Cascadia at Highland Creek, along with Yoga Six. Summit Coffee CEO Brian Helfrich tells What Now Charlotte that this will be a corporate-owned location and is expected to open in Fall 2024. This is the first of many for the company, as five other locations are scheduled to open this year, bringing the total number of sites up to 19 by year-end.

The company’s 11th Charlotte/ Lake Norman area location will be 2,000 square feet, located at Old Ridge and Prosperity Church roads in the Highland Creek neighborhood. Customers can expect certified organic coffee and delicious snacks. Once the company completes its current plans of six additional locations by the end of the year, Summit Coffee will have three locations in Charleston, Three in Atlanta, 2 in Asheville, and 11 in the greater Charlotte area, making it one of the largest specialty coffee brands in the Southeast. Not only does the company offer incredible food and drinks, but it supports its surrounding communities.

“For 20+ years, Summit Coffee has implemented myriad campaigns benefitting foundations in our immediate communities and beyond,” according to the company’s website. “While direct donation of funds has always been an unwritten practice, we made it official in 2021. 1% of annual pre-tax gross revenue is put directly toward community engagement efforts.”
