Super Chix, the franchise known for its “fresh, never frozen” chicken, is heading to Morrisville with a location at 1125 Hatches Pond Lane. The spot is expected to open in spring 2026, franchise owner Saqiba Iqbal told What Now Charlotte.

“It’s a corner unit that’s in a really nice shopping center with a large patio, so those are some of the defining characteristics,” Iqbal said. “There are a lot of windows — a lot of natural light. In terms of the menu and the experience, it will have the same awesome Super Chix vibe that you see elsewhere, really focused on a good time for families.”

Super Chix, founded in 2014 in Texas, provides a variety of chicken sandwiches ranging from Nashville hot chicken to buffalo ranch. It also serves salads, tenders and fresh-cut fries. The spot also serves premium frozen custard and hand-spun shakes.

Eventually, Iqbal and her team plan to expand further in the Triangle area. Currently, there are only two North Carolina locations in the Charlotte area. There are nearly 50 locations open across the nation.

“This is one of multiple locations that we plan to open in the area,” Iqbal said. “The assessment around how many units is larger depends on a lot of other factors, but there’s definitely going to be more to come down the road.”
