Triveni Supermarket, a South Asian grocery store with an in-house bakery and food court, is preparing to open two new locations in the greater Charlotte area.

While the micro chain already has locations in North Carolina, Texas, and Maryland, the company is looking to have a big year with several new locations in these existing markets as well as in South Carolina and Virginia. Out of the six new locations planned, Triveni Supermarket is planning to open new sites in Concord at Concord Mills and Tega Cay at 1160 Stonecrest Boulevard near the Stonecrest shopping center, according to the company’s website.

When the new grocery store opens, customers can expect a variety of not-so-common groceries, as well as a selection of halal meats, an in-house bakery, and a food court. Triveni Supermarket offers ready-to-eat homemade Indian food from this food court, including biriyani, veggie and non-veggie curries, tandoori, breakfast, and Indo-Chinese options. The company also offers catering for special events.

“Our bakeries serve a variety of freshly baked delights every day and add a new dimension to your shopping experience,” according to the company’s website. “Come and take your pick among lovely Indian items like biscuits, puffs, pastries, wraps, and more! Apart from in-house baking, we also take up orders for birthday parties, anniversaries, graduations, and essentially any event where you require tasty treats and delectable cakes.”

As of now, the company has a Triveni SuperMarket at 200 S. Polk Street in Pineville, Triveni Express at 9539 Pinnacle Drive, Suite 100 in Charlotte, and Exotica-Indian Kitchen & Bar in Charlotte at 500 S. College Street, Suite 150. On top of the two new Carolina locations, the company plans to open the grocery store in Texas at Cypress and Richmond and in Virginia at South Riding and Richmond.
