The Tyber Creek Pub is moving to 1501 S. Mint Street from its longtime location at 1933 South Boulevard. The new location is only about a mile from the original spot.

“While saying goodbye to our home was difficult, we are very excited about getting settled in our new one,” reads a statement on the Tyber Creek website. “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has shared their time with us over the years and look forward to continue sharing time together in the future.”

Tyber Creek Pub opened in 1999 under the ownership of Tommy Timmins, Maynard Goble and Kevin Devin and is a popular spot for viewing sporting events and live music in the Charlotte area. The team purchased the new location on Mint Street, which spans 1.46 acres, in February, according to county records.

The construction project involves renovating the three buildings on the Mint Street property, with each building planned to open in phases to expedite the reopening process. Instead of having a kitchen, the new location is set to have a food truck to serve the pub’s food menu.

Tyber Creek Pub officially closed its doors on March 18 following St. Patrick’s Day weekend to start the move to the new site. While the team initially planned to open in late spring or early summer, it is still in the process of moving and remains closed for the time being, according to its website.

The team has not yet announced an official reopening date.

What Now Charlotte has reached out to the Tyber Creek team for more information on the renovations and timeline for reopening but has yet to receive a response. Stay tuned for updates on the new location.
