According to a recent permit filing, Racing Line arcade and bar is making plans to open at 235 N 4th St, in downtown Columbus. While the space will undergo some renovations to convert it into the gaming establishment and bar, owner Shaun Cupp shared with What Now Columbus that he is aiming for opening the business in February.
With an occupancy rate of 49 people, Racing Line will be the first place of business in the area to offer an environment that is primarily focused on simulated motor sport games.
“We’re using advanced hardware and software to create a realistic experience,” Cupp said of the games.
Similar to other racing gaming bars, Racing Line will offer guests the ability to virtually race with and compete against their friends, through the simulated games and headsets with microphones that allow communication between racemates.
Cupp said there will also be TVs in the establishment showcasing live racing. And, in terms of beverages, guests can enjoy a selection of canned beer, cider and cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic canned and bottled drinks, such as soda and water.
