Le Macaron French Pastries, a growing bakery franchise that serves macarons and other pastries, will open its first location in Columbus later this year at 997 N High St, in Short North. What Now Columbus spoke with Le Macaron Columbus franchise owners Aldo Munez and Macarena Delpiano, who shared that currently the timeline for opening the bakery is set for late September or early October.

When it opens, the Short North location will feature sidewalk seating, with some inside seating offered at a later time after opening, according to Munez. He went on to explain that the menu lends itself to carryout options, such as the core offering of authentic French macarons, a small cookie sandwich made from ground almonds and soft meringue filling in a number of flavors.

In addition to macarons, the menu features French pastries like eclairs and croissants, cakes, gelato and coffee as well as chocolates and candies. Le Macaron French Pastries was started by a mother and daughter in 2009 and started offering franchise opportunities in 2012, according to information on its website. Currently the chain has locations in 24 states.
