Plans are underway for a new music and dining destination in Franklinton. The Blu Note Jazz Café is set to take shape on West Rich Street, combining live entertainment with local food in a two-building project.
The development calls for the demolition of 373 W. Rich St., which will make way for a 300-person amphitheater designed to host concerts and community events. Next door, the historic structure at 375 W. Rich St. will be renovated and transformed into a new jazz club, offering an intimate indoor venue for live music. The renovated space will also house a Donatos pizza franchise, bringing a familiar dining option to the neighborhood.
The project aims to celebrate Columbus’s jazz heritage while contributing to the growth and revitalization of Franklinton. With its blend of indoor and outdoor performance areas, as well as a local restaurant partner, the Blu Note Jazz Café is expected to become a cultural and social hub on the city’s west side.
