Donatos Pizza is preparing to launch a first-of-its-kind, fully automated location at John Glenn Columbus International Airport in June 2025. This new concept will serve up fresh 10-inch pizzas—cheese or pepperoni—in under five minutes using a robotic kitchen, with no human staff involved.
Located in the airport’s Hanger 815 dining area, the high-tech kitchen will allow travelers to order via touchscreen kiosks or QR codes. Once an order is placed, a series of robotic arms will handle everything from spreading the dough and adding toppings to baking, slicing, and boxing the pizza—offering a quick, consistent, and contactless dining experience.
The project is a collaboration between Donatos and robotics company Appetronix and is designed to meet the demands of busy travelers while tackling labor challenges and improving efficiency.
This will be Donatos’ third location inside the Columbus airport, but the first that’s fully autonomous—making it a bold step toward the future of airport dining.
