According to a recently filed permit, bakery Maison Skalli is planning to perform some renovations and add some seating to its existing space located at 2746 Festival Lane in Dublin.
Per the language in the permit, the proposed work will be to add exterior seating and a new restroom to the existing restaurant space that will require some plumbing, HVAC and electrical work.
What Now Columbus reached out to the bakery’s owner and spoke with Chouaib Esskalli, who shared that the plans for adding the exterior seating haven’t been finalized with an architect just yet. At this time, Esskalli wasn’t able to share how many seats will be added to the bakery’s exterior, however he did share that the plan is to add the seating along one side of the covered sidewalk area outside the establishment.
The goal with adding the extra tables outside is to offer more seating options for their customers, and there will be heaters added outside to keep guests comfortable while they dine outdoors. Once the architectural plans are finalized and they’ve received the necessary approvals, the owners anticipate the work being completed quickly.
Maison Skalli is located in a corner space in Festival Centre Shopping Mall, and the bakery specializes in pastries, breakfast and brunch dishes and coffee. The menu offerings have a Moroccan and French twist, with selections that range from croissants and crepes to breakfast dishes featuring eggs and khili, a meat that’s seasoned with garlic, coriander and cumin.
Find the bakery on Instagram and Facebook and stay up to date on the details surrounding the outdoor seating addition.
